Born Again?

Public screeds of born again Christian politicians have always confounded me. The theology they profess seems to mix religion, politics and economics in ways that do justice to none of the ingredients. This largely American phenomona has not frequently been subjected to rigorous scrutiny. Perhaps this is because Americans have become inhibited by the politically correct police.
