Libraries
I believe that all of us were pleased to see that Google has embarked on the ambitious project of digitizing, for public use, much of the collections of the Stanford, Michigan and Harvard Libraries. This herculean task will certainly benefit researchers, scholars and even dillitantes like myself. But nothing will take the place of a library of books.
