Putting God Back Into American History
Those of you who follow this journal know that one of my great interests is the role of God or religion in the fabic of American Life and Government. Here is an excellent piece from the New York Times on the subject. While not exhaustive, it makes the point that the founding fathers were men 'of God' although not in the fashion construed by today's evangelical Christians.
