Sarah Caudwell
If you care for good thrillers, then you might want to try Sarah Caudwell. She has four titles published. All are good. I suspect that the last -- The Sybil in her Grave (2000) is posthumous. All of her stories feature a delightful amateur sleuth/Oxford Don named Hilary Tamar. We are never given the gender of Tamar which adds much to the intrigue. All of the books involve tax planning, lawyers and trips to the Channel Islands. Good beach reads for the Summer.
