SUMMER SOLSTICE
Another Summer Solstice has passed, with little ill effect. It does make one reflect on the enormous mysteries of nature. This month's Scientific American includes a fascinating article on constants in our universe. Pi for example defies any rational explanation yet it works perfectly. There is nothing like such an article to make us realize just how inconspicuous we are in this universe. http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?chanID=sa006&colID=1&articleID=0005BFE6-2965-128A-A96583414B7F0000
