TECHNOLOGY, TALENT & TOLERANCE

There have been several books written lately on the demographics of -- for lack of a better word -- intellectual firepower. This piece from the BOSTON GLOBE notes that Massachusetts was the only state to actually lose population last year. This is especially interesting in light of the fact that the State is widely viewed as a haven for talent and tolerance as well as a wellspring of technology. What gives then? A flight to Australia? partly, but more importantly a newfound interest in safety. http://www.boston.com/news/globe/ideas/articles/2005/07/17/bright_flight/
