September 29—Michaelmas

If St. Michael brings many acorns, Christmas will cover the fields with snow.
September 29—Rosh Hashanah
Today is the beginning of the Jewish New Year and the beginning of 10 Days of Penitence. Challah dipped in honey brings a new year of sweetness!
