A series of tablets, clearly intended to echo Ancient Egyptian tomb paintings, depict 1909 Washington University students from their arrival as University freshmen through to their graduation. Along the way,they attend classes, dances, and athletic games. Our favorite panel may be the one where distraught students wail and drink sorrowfully after receiving their final grades from a stern professor.
