WIKIPEDIA
Wikipedia (conjoining the Hawaiian "Wiki" for quick with encyclopedia) is a fascinating open source phenomona. It is an encyclopedia written entirely by its contributors. There are no editors or censors. Anyone can however add, change or alter the text. It is said that the self-control of the site is so great that obscenities typically last for about two minutes before someone edits them out. It currently exceeds the BRITANICA by a factor of ten in size. Not that size should matter. Try it for research -- then try it for an editorial spin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

I agree with you. It is a wonderful fast-growing phenomenon. I personally use it often and have learned a lot so far.
